These terms apply together with the supplier account, booking records and any signed commercial agreement. A more specific signed agreement prevails where it directly conflicts with these general marketplace terms.
Marketplace role and independent supplier status
TiaRental is a marketplace and booking platform. The supplier remains the independent provider of the vehicle rental service and is solely responsible for the vehicle, the rental contract, handover and return, legally required insurance, local legal compliance and supplier-controlled charges. The supplier is not an employee, agent, joint venture or legal partner of TiaRental, and neither party may bind the other unless expressly authorised in writing.
Legal eligibility, verification and vehicles
- Maintain every registration, licence, tax registration, permit and insurance required to provide vehicle rental services.
- Keep every listed vehicle registered, roadworthy, inspected, maintained and safe.
- Provide accurate company, ownership, tax, address, banking and verification information and promptly report material changes or expired/suspended documents.
- List only vehicles the supplier is legally entitled to offer and use accurate vehicle information and photographs.
Prices, deposits, mileage and minimum days
The supplier controls its rental prices and eligible pricing rules. All unavoidable charges known at booking time must be disclosed in the listing or booking calculation. Deposits, optional extras and conditional charges must be shown separately from the rental price.
Deposit, deductible/excess, mileage, minimum rental days, special one-day or two-day prices, driver age/experience, fuel rules, insurance, extras and pickup/return rules must be accurate. The supplier may not demand an undisclosed mandatory charge at pickup.
Availability, confirmed bookings and substitutions
The supplier must keep availability reasonably current and promptly block periods that cannot be sold. A confirmed TiaRental booking must be honoured at the confirmed price and material conditions.
If the booked vehicle cannot be supplied, the supplier must notify TiaRental immediately and, where possible, offer a genuinely comparable or better replacement without an undisclosed price increase. Repeated double-booking, avoidable non-availability or refusal to honour confirmed conditions may lead to cancellation consequences, restrictions or suspension.
Pickup, return, rental agreement and evidence
- Meet the customer at the confirmed place and time or follow the disclosed delivery procedure.
- Verify the documents required by law and by the confirmed booking.
- Record vehicle condition, fuel level and relevant equipment at handover and return.
- Provide the customer with the rental agreement, receipt, invoice or other document for which the supplier is legally responsible.
- Keep reasonable evidence needed to resolve damage, no-show, late-return, deposit, fee or payment disputes.
Insurance, deposits, damage and cross-border travel
The supplier must maintain legally required vehicle insurance and accurately describe included and optional protection, deductibles/excess and lawful exclusions. Any deduction from a refundable deposit must be supported by the rental agreement, documented circumstances and applicable law.
Cross-border travel is permitted only for vehicles where it is enabled. Allowed countries, border fees, documents, insurance limits and deposit changes must be accurate and a confirmed border permission forms part of the booking. It must not be withdrawn at pickup unless required by law, safety, fraud prevention or another material circumstance that could not reasonably have been known earlier.
Commission, payments, cancellations, refunds and tax
The applicable TiaRental commission or platform rate is the rate recorded for the supplier account or later agreed in writing. Under the standard marketplace flow, the checkout may separate the TiaRental online booking/platform amount from the balance payable directly to the supplier. The supplier must not charge the customer again for an amount already collected by TiaRental.
The supplier must follow the cancellation and no-show conditions recorded with the booking and cooperate with refunds caused by supplier cancellation, non-availability, materially inaccurate listing information or failure to provide the confirmed service. The supplier is responsible for its own taxes, VAT, fiscal obligations and the customer rental/service invoice where it is the actual rental provider. TiaRental may separately issue a commission invoice or statement for its own platform services.
Customer data, reviews and integrations
Booking data may be used only to perform the rental, communicate about the booking, comply with law, prevent fraud and resolve support cases. The supplier must protect personal data and may not sell or repurpose TiaRental customer data without a lawful basis.
The supplier must not create, purchase, manipulate or coerce reviews. API keys, webhook secrets and integration credentials are confidential; the supplier is responsible for authorised integrations until credentials are revoked and must comply with documented scopes, rate limits, data-protection and security requirements.
Prohibited conduct, monitoring and suspension
- Do not move a confirmed TiaRental booking off-platform to evade commission, booking records or customer protection.
- Do not demand undisclosed mandatory fees, materially alter confirmed conditions at pickup or pressure a customer to cancel and rebook directly.
- Do not list unavailable, unsafe, unlawfully operated or materially misdescribed vehicles.
- Do not misuse customer data, manipulate reviews or interfere with platform or security controls.
- TiaRental may use automated and manual controls and may restrict or suspend a supplier, vehicle, integration or booking capability for serious safety concerns, suspected fraud, repeated cancellations, expired documents, payment risk, undisclosed charges, customer-data misuse or other material breach.
TiaRental limitation of responsibility
TiaRental acts as a marketplace and booking platform and does not own, operate, maintain, inspect or control the supplier’s vehicles. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TiaRental is not responsible for the supplier’s acts or omissions, the condition or operation of a vehicle, accidents, personal injury, loss or damage arising from use of the vehicle, traffic fines or violations, tolls, fuel or parking charges, personal belongings, insurance or protection supplied or administered by the supplier, or disputes arising from the rental agreement concluded directly between the customer and the supplier.
TiaRental remains responsible for the platform services it directly provides and for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Supplier indemnity and survival
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the supplier shall indemnify TiaRental against third-party claims, losses, penalties, costs and reasonable expenses arising from the supplier’s breach of these terms, unlawful conduct, vehicle or rental-service obligations, misrepresentation, infringement, misuse of customer data or failure to comply with applicable law, except to the extent caused by TiaRental’s own breach or non-excludable liability.
Existing confirmed bookings and accrued payment, refund, data-protection, tax and dispute obligations survive suspension or termination to the extent necessary.
Governing terms and disputes
These supplier terms apply together with the supplier account terms, booking-specific records and any signed commercial agreement. A more specific signed written agreement prevails to the extent of a direct conflict.
Platform-level disputes with DEEPXORA LTD are governed by the governing-law and jurisdiction provisions stated in the applicable signed commercial agreement or other binding TiaRental terms applicable to the supplier. The supplier remains responsible for all mandatory Albanian rental, tax, consumer, vehicle and other local-law obligations applicable to its rental activity.
